The film "Sofia - The History of Europe", under the project "Sofia - European Capital of Culture", implemented by the Foundation for Bulgarian Literature, was realized with the financial support of the Europe 2010 Program.
The producer and director is Stepan Polyakov. British citizen Terry Randall, well-known from the BBC, has lived in Sofia for more than ten years. He knows the city so well that he feels part of the capital. Randall invites a friend from Denmark to show her Sofia and the two embark on a magical adventure through the history of the city. Terry says: "The journey from Rome to Constantinople, which in history takes centuries, in Sofia takes three minutes. Walk them". The film won First Prize in the documentary section of the International Festival "On the East Coast of Europe", 2012, Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
